about

In a world on a moving platform that accelerates toward oblivion, the Church is the light. We have been commissioned to be lights in the world, but we have also been commissioned to be in unity. While folks of differing passions and views publicly argue and display us as an disunited, disorganised hoax, Udo Ibeleme joins hands with Lyndon Superville and Farenite to bring forward a message of solidarity and militance to the world in honour of our God: #WeAreTheChurch. This anthem is brought forward lyrically by these three in a dancehall/hip hop format, to inspire the millennial Church to stay united through Jesus Christ, rather than divided among unedifying issues.

lyrics

Intro (Udo Ibeleme):
"We are the Church,"
and we forcefully advancing.
"Praise Jesus!"
We a army, and the Lord, He be the Captain.
"Yow yow!"
Critical and Crucial
plus
Bishop Son and Superz.
Done
lyrical as usual,
plus
the Spirit running through us.

Verse 1 (Udo Ibeleme):
We are the Church,
so gigantic, catholic, so big, it stun me.
"So who is the Pope?"
Theocratic is this big Body.
There is no homosapien to credit for this, in summary,
and now I present you some of its sickest lyrically.
Some think it's just for money
why we rhyme.
We exalt the Lord, Who bought us on the cross, so you could become His child and dine
with us, your brothers,
plus we love yuh,
and we don't want you to become another
one to fry and die.
"The Church."
Christ say He go make and fence She,
so the gates of Hell could not prevail against She:
living organism, main assembly
of sinners saved by grace, and mentally
being renewed by the Holy Spirit, made a helpmeet
for the sequel of Jesus Christ out of the skies.
Why would you fight She or blight She or despise?
Don't kick against the bricks. Ye can't destroy us
or beat us, so join us.
I won't be surprised!

Chorus (Udo Ibeleme):
We are the Church.
We are the Church.
We are the Body,
Jesus' Church.
You see every nation,
creed, sex and race and
denomination
in Daddy Church.
We are the Church.
We are the Church.
Greek for the "church:"
"ekklesia" the word.
We don't want any hate and
war when it blatant,
or segregation
in Daddy Church.
We are the Church.

Verse 2 (Lyndon Superville):
We are planted in the house of the Lord. We didn't land here.
Impossible to try and move the Rock on which we stand here.
Fight your team and try to win the game, it's never likely.
The world never like we,
so why we a fight, oui?
We all got one Boss, inno.
I'm a Christian, so don't let me get cross, inno.
All the ill-speakers, back biters. rumour seekers, well it's time to hush allyuh mouth
inna the Church.
Soldiers march out, one mind, one body, one King.
Keep building each other
with the words that we ought to.
We designed just to do one thing,
and that's praise the Lord.
He stick us together from the start.
We stuck here. We don't cut hair, so we never part.
Get it clear. We do not fear any single man
that would dare to come near or interfere because...

Chorus

Verse 3 (Farenite):
Well, if the same blood of Christ purchase we,
then who am I worshipping
if I'm promoting and pushing the vision
with intent to make incisions
like surgery?
See, diversity
is God's idea, so this a time for all the Berlin Walls to fall like Germany,
'cause if we spirit filled,
then the Spirit will
teach us that we get gifts and Spirit skills
according to the Spirit's will,
so it don't make no sense to go around on a high like ferris wheel,
but some don't get it still:
One body, many parts.
One God, no demigods.
Help we, Lord,
'cause if we don't step it up,
then we like a revving car
that's left in park.
Could you imagine when we start
to flow the way
God design?
I mean,
let's all decide
to throw away
all the pride
and be
the type of body in which our Lord delights,
the one Jesus died for to call His Bride...
Let the Name of the Lord be glorified!

Chorus
